Picking sets in the UK

Postby fuzz » 7 Sep 2007 10:35

I've been looking for awhile and of course as a beginner, im not sure exactly what to get. I want to be picking padlocks and typical door locks (like Yale)
Where should i purchase pick sets from?
I find many US sites, but not any UK sites.
i looked here (viewtopic.php?t=1423) but the links i found seem to be broken. . . or the site has changed. . . .
Anyway, i know that i should be looking for a slimline set, but i'd rather be pointed in the correct direction before i spend my money.

Thanks :)

I think the US has the most online stores that sell pick tools. Try www.LockPicks.com or www.LockPickShop.com . They have a great selection of picks and related locksmithing tools.

That is a great set that is recommended for many to use on european locks with complicated wardings. Just make sure you don't apply too much torque on the tension wrench when picking cos the slimlines can bend out of shape more easily than a regular size pick.

Both www.LockPicks.com and www.Lockpickshop.com will accept PayPal if I remember correctly.

i might just use www.devonlocks.com because it works out the same price (ish) even so with the discount. So i might just get them from a UK site as it will be quicker.
thanks for the help guys!
