What WAS your original question?

If you are looking for real locksmiths. I can say right away that Varjeal is a working smith in Alberta, Canada. I am working in Nova Scotia, Canada. And, to be honest I would have to say our youngest locksmith is Luke.

Now, in all honesty, Luke is "sort" of a locksmith. The laws in the state of Victoria are a little more flexible. They only require a registered business name. Because of his prior comitments, Luke is not a full time smith.

Either way, those are three right off the bat, and I know there are more than that here.

original question was here:

Please do not double post - it has been less than 5hrs since you posted your last question which was the same as this one - this is not a chat room but a forum which people usually only check once a day if that.

it also might pay to introduce yourself in the "introduce yourself here if you're new" thread: viewtopic.php?t=2218
Oh look! it's 2016!

prior committments huh? such as... he's only 13? lol

he probably is the youngest smith on this board though, very knowledgable for his age... dedicated.

Explain yourself

Postby Romstar » 16 Jun 2004 20:23

Are you attempting to suggest that there is some reason why an honest locksmith would not reply to your question?

More to the point, if you think the question is invalid, or otherwise inappropriate, why would you bother to ask in the first place?

Common sense and other things

Postby Romstar » 16 Jun 2004 20:30

I took your question as being a way for you to ascertain how much of the information was coming from practicing locksmiths and how much was coming from amateurs, talented or otherwise.

Twice in fact, in the same section of the forum, within a few hours of
eachother.

I don't know... perhaps it's just me, and I know that it's not a good thing
to rely on gut feelings derived from a small number of words typed by
someone I've never met on a forum on the web, but....

I'm getting the feeling that, you are somehow checking this forum out to
see if it's worth participating. you will find that people are more likely to
help you if you introduce yourself, give us a bit of background about
yourself and show that you are willing to contribute by not being vague
when posting.

perhaps you havn't spent much time on forums on the web so I'll be nice,
but this:
mupet wrote:At last someone with some brains on this site. :D

can be construed as a "troll". you havn't been here long enough or
contributed enough to be able to insult the forum in general (which is what
your post implies) without some people taking offence (dispite the fact that
you put a smiley after it).

in your profile you've got "locksmith Teacher" and that can be verified by
looking at your e-mail address. do you think that makes you above the
rules and culture of this forum?

I just noticed that in this thread: viewtopic.php?p=26425
you posted this:
mupet wrote:Having read the FAQ's you still are unfulfilled and seek more enlightenment, post your locksmithing, lockpicking questions here.

what are you trying to do man? you obviously havn't bothered to search
or you would have found this thread:
viewtopic.php?t=2304.

We greatly appreciate all proffessional locksmiths and "Locksmith
Teachers" that we can get - seeking out people who are better than you at
something is the only way to learn anything.

you will not be appreciated here with the attitude that I seem to be
gleaning from you. I don't know if other people feel the same.

WhiteHat.

Tolerance is in great abundance here, but your previous demeanor has slightly raised a flag. If this is a genuine mistake, your detailed intro should clear this up. Please give us your picking 'resume' and what you hope to contribute/learn from this forum. A general co-operative attitude goes a long way on LP101.

HTH,
Mick.

Yeah Victoria laws are the most flexible laws in Australia! Since i have to go to school, my add that im putting in the local paper and in the super market says 5pm - 3am until Friday the 18th then 24/7! I plan to get at least 1 call during my school holidays, i need money, and im also going to hang around a lockie and get some money for saving his ass :) Anyway its 14 and great to see another Aussie locksmith here.

Cheers,
Luke
