Whats better? Spring steel or Stainless Steel?

i'm going to be buying my first lockpick set
i was just wondering if i should get the 13 piece Spring steel set from lockpicks.com, or one of the stainless steel sets from southord

I prefer the stainless picks. All of my picks are from Rytan and are stainless. I have used the steel picks in the past and both types will open a lock.
I prefer theh stainless as there is no need to worry about corrosion of the tool if you don't wipe it down after use. The stainless should also last longer as it will not wear out as quickly as a steel pick.
Wearing out may not be an issue for most people though, it really depends on how often you are using the tools. I worked as a locsmith for three years and I have worn out a few sets of tools.

In this new Pick-Set, the tools are made of BOTH... That's right BOTH Spring Steel and Stainless steel sandwiched together, then nickel plated.

I REALLY LIKE this set... Small tools and a GREAT price!!!

Me too. Stainless steel finish is always best visually.
