A button hook for lever and very simple warded locks?

I have really no idea of what a *button hook is!

You could either use it to overlift the levers if the springs were fairly weak, or slide the latch on a warded lock.

It's not used to overlift and it's not for lever locks!

On thin doors that have woefully big gaps you could possibly catch the latch mechanism.

I doubt it would work with this tool but nice guess!

no offence but you need to get to the point here. I'm just not sure that a bent piece of wire is interesting enough to keep everyone's interest for 4 days without some sort of payoff.

I like being teased as much as the next guy but if the teasing goes on for more than about 20 minutes with no sign that there's going to be a payoff, I usually just get up and go get a sandwich.
