Wendt electric pick troubles bought from keyprint

Postby peacefullockie » 15 Sep 2007 13:42

Hi, im in search of some answers on this pick. I bought one last week and it was charging hot at charger and on pick body. Lacked sufficient zip and was no better than my hpc.
Sent back and they said there was nothing wrong with it but i insisted on a replacement.
Second arrived and charged cold after initial 12 hours.
Had more zip to it but had a screw shaking around inside and fell out.
Could anyone help me on some good advice please. I have sent it back today asking for a refund.
Im disapointed as i was always under the understanding that this was better than the hpc.
Could it be bad luck with these two or could it be that they are rejects from germany.
For 330 plus vat it wasnt to standard.
thankyou all

The Wendt is very probromatic as you have found out and not cheap you would have been beter of keeping the HPC and investing in the alternative blades which increases its potential the only other advice would be buy the multi-pick thats the one to have.
Just my opion.
There is always a solution to a problem and a way in without destruction !!!!!

Wow that is weird. I thought Wendt was the best quality pick gun out there too. Good thing I didn't recommend it to my co-worker.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

I have my Wendt nearly two years with no problems.Out of the box and used every day.The screws do loosen and i find that before i use it i tighten every thing up.I found the hpc good quality but i find the Wendt never lets me down on a lockout.

The new Wendt's are now made in China, hence the drop in quality.

It is possible to take it apart and sort it out, there are instructions out on the web somewhere.

Also, I know of at least one person doing power and battery upgrades for the HPC gun.

I think the Multipick gun is too violent on the cylinder, and heavy to carry around .
It's all about the tension . . .
