When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I just tried a moment ago and I think your FTP port is being "stealthed" by your firewall -- i.e., it's not even admitting to my FTP client that the port exists, and my client simply sends a request and times out waiting for a response.

Sounds like you haven't got port forwarding set up for port 21.

It is setup correctly I believe but it has been down yesterday and today for some general cleaning and updating. It should be back up and running this evening.

no need. I usually shut down all of my pc's every couple of weeks for updating/cleaning/anything else that needs to be done. I appreciate the offer though.

Does your FTP server support passive mode? I can connect alright now, but I'm getting server timeouts every time my client requests passive mode data transfers. I'll try bypassing my firewall tomorrow and see if that helps. :)

Yes, double posts - I've seen maybe 5 of them reading the posts over the last few hours - the PC freezes as it is posting...

Is there something wrong with the server?

yes it should support passive mode. mbell if you are having problems accessing it please drop me a pm and let me know what if any error you are getting. Like I said above I switched firewalls to sygate so there may be a few bugs I need to work out. enmityst, are you running windows xp? If so under tools->internet options->advanced is use passive ftp checked. If it is not try enabling it and see if you can log on.

to get the zip files, right click on them with your mouse and select copy then paste them to your desk top. You can also just drag them from the ftp window onto your desktop to copy them.

you should try the best you can to download the bigger zip files. The ones labeled dsl are great quality but unfortunately the files are around 2mb each. The resolution is 2560 x 1920 so they show alot of detail. The dial up zips are only around 300X250 or something, I cant remember for sure but they tend to get pretty fuzzy when scaled up.
