Or you can put a lockpick like a half diamond with the flat side facing the pins all the way into the back of the lock, push up or down on the pin stacks (depending if you're from europe or the US) and slowly pull the pick out. As you do this you'll hear the pins snap back down and just count how many times you hear that snap or clicking sound.
