yes chubb locks are very nice i like them lots
ERA's are piles of shit that are rough and ready esp the viscounts

Chubb safe locks are not made in the same factory as the chubb
door locks - the wheels are made by smiths clock factory (which make shit clocks as well). Hence chubb safe locks are awful.

I know this from experience from pulling these things apart fixing them, cutting keys etc. I know quality when i see it - but i don't want this to turn into a international shit flinging topic. Some english locks are very good others are not - just know the difference

lever locks

hey guys have been on the road again, yes we have exactly the same 3g114, 110's and all the chubb range. they are from the UK but we have in our factory (chubb) the 4L44 this was mainly used in the prisons because of its strength.

later in time it was infact made larger and used as a prison cell lock because of the design.

the ISOLATOR was designed by Chubb Lock and Safe Division AUSTRALIA. the designer was Alan Carmody, and I knew the machinist Sherif Shuckralla (Egyption) funny little bugger. It won the Australian design award and was adopted by Chubb UK soon after.

the last son of CHUBB and SONS was incharge of the engineering in Australia, he returned to UK with the other bro but died soon after returning. I think he was like 80+

Does Chubb still make a "Dectector" style lock?
