easy lock picking

I need to quickly teach my dad to pick locks, its not the learning, its just one lock that needs to be picked, he is too slow with standard picks so I was thinking about other things he could use, are the pick guns easy enough to use??? also, is there any thing that will speed up the process (maybe spring tenstion tools) he only has about a 15 min time window to pick it and he cant take me

is there anything better that you could sugest????

Its your first post so i will be kind ,this sounds like a criminal activity so i doubt you will get much response also please read the FAQ section and use the search button as most topics have been covered before.

So why does he only have 15mins to open it ?
Why hasnt he got a key ?
Why cant he take you if you can pick locks ?
If hes too slow with standard picks how come you have the time to go and get a pickgun ?

Why is there only a 15 minute window for him to pick the lock? Something sounds fishy here. If the lock belonged to your dad he should have all the time in the world to pick it.

Tell your dad that a pickgun probably takes a lot dexterity, and the best pick set he should go for is probably a crowbar from the local home depot.

Noooooo guys, its one of Masters new self-destructing locks, once something other than the key enters the keyway, you have 15 minutes till is blows up

Seriously though, heres what ya do. Take a butter knife, paint the handle blaze orange, (this is, as we all know, the universal 15-minute-limit pick color choice of champions) Tell him to poke at the shackle, while humming the theme from Mission Impossible, works every time.

As we are always saying on here you only really need a good picks so dont forget the boltcroppers along with your crowbar and drill.

Tell your dad if he thinks he triggered a silent alarm, hes got 5 minutes, tops
So just incase get an electric pick gun. That'll be wicked fast. Stick that puppy in there, push the button, and pop the lock will open right up. It'll be sick.
