Postby josh0094 » 15 Oct 2007 22:36

im not completely sure what im asking But nevertheless here it goes.

what type of pick do you use for locks.

EG: for a master or spacelock (padlocks) i use a hook. for my front door i tend to use a half diamand.

what other types of picks would you all recamend making.?i make a tension wrench today. ill make annother one tomarrow that will actually be good.

but yeah what other types of picks come in handy?

When building your first set, I'd try to base it off some other similar set.

Example:

try those out... those will probably be your most common picks.

If my counting is right, I believe you are talking about the rake pick. By the name of it you can pretty much guess what it does. Instead of taking each individual pin on one at a time... you put the rake pick in and well... rake.

Very useful in a lot of situations.

if you do make the rake make sure to sand it down so it's not sharp or you will saw the pins instead of raking the lock open.
