you can pretty much use anything to make a pick case. If your not to good at sewing then look at making a small tool roll for them.

Try digging through all your local thrift stores. They usually carry something us lock sport people can put to good use. If not you can always get the Peterson tri-fold case. :D

Is that the one with seperate pockets for each tool that came with a needle nose plier with the kit? Cos if it is I think I've seen it before at Walgreens too. :D

Tool roll?

Pick cases can be made from anything. Make them yourself and be original. Glasses or pencil cases are simple. You can make just about anything neat looking with leather or a synthetic. Check out do it yourself leather suppliers for wallet making materials. Lace or stitch the seams. Check out my wallet for example.

You can make a tool roll from an old blue jean pant leg. Or, any kind of cloth or synthetic material that suits your purpose.[/img]
Nothing is foolproof to a talented fool. Wisdom is not just in determining how to do something, but also includes determining whether it should be done at all.

I was very very bored over this last summer, and decided to pick up a new hobby to compliment a couple others. When I went to Hobby Lobby one day looking for a shadowbox to put a few collectable knives in, I saw a big fat bag of scrap leather selling for about $4. After buying this, a couple rolls of leather "string", and a few leather punches, the total ended up being somewhere around $12. Since then, I've made quite a few leather sheaths for some of the knives I have laying around, and I've also made a wallet-sized pouch to carry my picks in.

It's basically just one long rectangular piece folded in half, and a smaller piece for a pocket on one of the sides. All you really have to do is punch holes about 3/4" apart all the way along the cover and the pocket, wrap the sting in a spiral manner through the holes all the way around the thing, which straps the pocket to the cover, and also gives it a decent look.

I'll try to get pictures in as soon as I can find my dinky little camera...
