first REAL attempt at tools since lurking...

I've been reading quite a bit the last few days. I now have a handful of locks I can pick regularly from around the house. Now I've made a tool out of a small file using my dremel. I can pop an old Master no.3, my back door, and my gun lock, but not this one (see below). Is there an obvious flaw in my tool, or am I missing something about this lock?

Some locks just dont want to be picked, just keep at it, by the way, you shouldnt be practicing picking on locks that are in use, you can damage them, only time you should pick locks that are in use is in a lock out situation.

Try making differant kinds of picks/rakes and give them a try.

Wow, thats a really nice DIY pick. Looks just like a dental pick tool.

Yeah, I know, practicing on my back door was a bad idea. I caught the bug pretty bad and couldn't help myself.
I'm going to make a few different pick shapes this week and give that lock another shot.
