This is the internet. Everybody is probably lying about who they are.. how exactly do you propose to prevent this? Unless you deliver the items personally and make sure you explain to their parents what you are giving them. It's very easy for underaged non-locksmiths to buy picks from the internet without their parents knowing. I am one of those people. (My parents do know now though). The only difference here is that they are free.

Good idea, I'll be drinking Chocolate milk
Btw, I just had an idea, pick and guess a number between 0-1000—both numbers including.
So my first guess is, lets say, 500 but it is not correct, then D_B guess that it's 999, but then the rule says that, once you've made a guess you can't make another guess until another 10 people have guessed after your guess, you get it?

the lock is your's and secondly make sure its not in use.

A way to prevent minors from getting something they shouldn't is by having the shipping paid by a certified paypal account (if you deal with them that is) or by personal checks. i know most kids don't have checking accounts and if a parent asks what it's for then they are apt to tell them. then again this is no sure guarantee either.
No wait how about this everyone has to send their credit card number and the 3 or 4 numbers on the back. He buys something (new code machine, code program, maybe a truck) and then sends them their free gift =P
^^^^^ If anyone is considering this you really need to never log onto the internet again.

It's easy to get a certified paypal account, all you have to do is lie about your age and that's it. And with regards to personal checks, you can apply for one online in about 2 minutes. It really makes you think just how unsafe the internet is for minors, and just how much kids are able to get away with without their parents knowing.

This would not be effective. There are more ways to get around this than I have care or time to detail, but I will just say that it is ineffective. Plenty of kids have PayPal accounts
The easiest way to confirm age is to ship via UPS and use their service called "Delivery Confirmation Adult Signature Required" which costs $3.25; an adult will need to sign for the package. I believe the age requirement may be 21 and not 18, however, as this service is often used when shipping wine, etc. Not sure.

A drinking contest sounds like fun - I got my stomach pumped a month back so my liver should have recovered enough. Turns out those "I'll bet you can't drink this" contests really do end badly sometimes... The other guy had his stomach pumped as well so I didn't lose at least.
I see some webcam fun coming about as a result of these contests.
I like the idea of a raffle tbh - Give some cash to LI, and get get to have some fun n the process.
If my Saxo VTR doesn't suck all my cash out of me then i'll donate some cash... for the heck of it really.

This has nothing to do with minors being "unwelcome" here. My point was that I can forsee a whole world of headaches that might arise from sending pick tools in the mail to a minor.
If the parent is not aware of their child's hobby, they may not appreciate some "internet stranger" sending their child tools to pick locks. It just spells bad idea.
As a responsible adult, I feel it would be irresponsible of me to not be sensitive to issues like that. Like it or not, until you're 18 it's your parents who rule the day in your world.

wow, you are one kind of a good man keysman!!
the raffle is good, but i think we should need to do something to have a prize( personally I don't believe in luck)
like the idea with the questions, but we could also limit the people who could answer these questions, like if your are suspicious or if you are so good, then you don't need the picks( like i think some advanced people here, don't need an extra set of picks, because they already have a bunch wich they don't use! you get it?)
