what model is it? on the bottom where the key goes in, it should say "Master # ?" where the question mark is a number. Tell us that so we can help you better.

Do you know about spools? If it's turning a degree or so then locking up again that's what you're dealing with.

You should try and look at atleast the stickies and info on the site, viewtopic.php?t=23706 is a discussion about security pins too. use google search (site:lockpicking101.com) as the current forum search is broken.

A spool is a type of security pin. That thread also covers serrated pins, which aren't as common.
Here's the animation which really makes it clear how the special shape of the driver pin affects picking the lock:

And here's a video showing one way to deal with them, although there are others:

I have a very similar one, with a black plastic cover, rather than blue plastic... but, unfortunately, I can't recall the model number off the top of my head. I selected one with a particularly difficult pinning (alternating high/low pins): it proved a bit of a challenge, but I was able to get it open. You may find that compressing the lock shackle while picking helps a bit?

Ah... I think we were talking about different locks, then. The lock in the image you posted in a full-sized padlock, similar in size to a Model 141. The lock you're talking about is much smaller: a Model 121. The Model 121 is a three-pin lock, so it shouldn't provide you with much grief, if you can get tools small enough to navigate the keyway. (And, unfortunately, I haven't attempted to pick one of those, so I can't offer much more info there... sorry!)

They don't show the little "Travel Sentry" logo on the packaging or website... so I think it's just a standard Master keyway (albeit a small one).
