I prefer slimline picks -- so, personally, I'd be happy with the "Japanese" pickset you chose.

I think you'll find that the "keychain" set doesn't have the level of feedback that you'd really want for serious lockpicking... but, if you don't have your other set with you, I guess it has better feedback than not having any picks at all... :wink:

I agree that they are insensitive but I get those just for fun.

Having a pickset whit you all time is nice 8)

Like said before, keychain lockpick sets are not very good for feedback and some are not designed very well. Though I do find myself buying them as novelty items (as well as making my own version) and of course making adjustments on size and sanding them really well just in case they need to be used.

Be sure to use very light tension with those picks cos the slimlines can bend rather easily.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

Those aren't too bad at all. As for me, I like to pick and choose my set, pick by pick, but that's just me. It also can get expensive this way. Truthfully, I have seen some of the most effective picks that were homemade, so I still make a lot of homemade tools. But anyway, not a terrible set!
