Abloy Protec Mortise Breakdown and Factory Cutaway

Postby mitch.capper » 30 Oct 2007 15:50

I recently acquired the Abloy Protect Mortise Cylinder Cutaway and while amazing in it self, I couldn't help but also take it apart. I took a lot of pictures while doing it and thought I would share. I wrote it up as a guide on how to take it apart, although it also has some technical highlights of what the components do also.

The post is Abloy Protec Factory Cutaway (http://mitchcapper.com/cutaways/factory ... c-mortise/) and a teaser picture:

Jaakko gave some great direction and review with this project, and it wouldn't have happened without him.

I have a good number of other factory cutaways but this was one I couldn't find anyone else had really shown or taken it apart.
