southord outlet shipping problem

Postby frollard » 21 Jun 2004 2:19

I have found that the southord site has the mpxs-14 for (essentially) half the price of anywhere else I've looked...

problem is "due to outrageous duties, we are suspending shipping to canada"

my question/ponderance. are there any US members who would be willing to bounce the package on to me (I will obviously pay for the shipping, and perhaps a small fee if nessecary).

Thanks for any replies. (positive or negative - want to test the waters.)
The meaning of life, the universe and everything is 42.

Inflation however, may have changed this.
...
edit: yup, its definately 43 now

Send SouthOrd an e-mail.

They will explain to you the methods by which they will send to Canada. Mostly through the USPS, then on to CanPost.

Package will be maked as tools I believe.

Seriously, call them or e-mail. They will ship to Canada.

Oh, and for the love of God, don't let them use UPS. Ask for FedEx if they won't use regular mail.

Once UPS has it, they'll charge you three times the amount in "brokerage" fees.
