Introduction

Postby rontgens » 5 Nov 2007 4:33

Hi,
I'm a newbie from England, I've made my own picks from wiper blades which work quite well in slim uk locks.
Looking forward to learning more about all aspects of lock picking.

New Guy from New Jersey

Postby njfishrguy » 7 Nov 2007 7:25

Hi...

I always wanted to learn to pick locks, ever since I was a little kid. Now I'm 55 and just got around to it. I managed a couple of inexpensive 5-pin padlocks, then went out and bought a Master No. 1 and have had some success with that. I look forward to all the valuable information I can pick up here!
Thanks!

Hi digitalchaoss,

Like you said this probably is in the wrong place, maybe the moderators will move it to thr right place?
I looked at the dudley website and it says you can't shim these kind of combo locks "which i believe to be true"...so I found this discussion about these locks here...http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?t=6423&highlight=
I haven't read it all but it seems these little things are pretty good at their jobs.
Goodluck. :D

New guy!

Postby Pocket Weasel » 8 Nov 2007 6:16

Hi all - I've been lurking around this site for a few months, and I decided it was time to join in.

What can I say that hasn't been said already? - It's an awesome site. A goldmine of information. Big thanks to all who have contributed in the past, and I hope I can do my bit.

I've been picking locks since I was a kid, with varying degrees of incompetence. I've made my own tools for years too, until I discovered that you could buy them in the UK. Now I think the time is right to take things to the next level and get serious with this.

So - hello to everyone, and keep up the good work!

Hello,

i'm 21 and fairly new to lock picking. I've been interested in learning how to for a few years. so a couple of months ago i purchased Southord MPXS-32 lock pick set not knowing it had WAY to many picks that i need for my skill level which i would say is sub-beginer(lol).
i'm a puzzle solver by nature, i like to figure out how thngs work and i was in need of a hobby. since i purchased my set of picks i have figured out how to pick only a few master locks mostly by luck with raking and rarely able to pop open a lock by picking each pin.
I'm just wishing to further my abilities and be able to be more consistant with my efforts. This looks like a good place to learn!!!!

Hello, I am 17, and I am looking to learn how to use lockpicking for various reasons, including the fact that I sometimes have to break into my own house, and would prefer to be able to do this on the 1st floor, not the second.

First Introduction

Postby Liminality » 8 Nov 2007 19:57

Hello. I'd like to introduce myself as Liminality. I live in California, and began expressing an interest in the challenge of picking locks.

I've been lurking for about 3 weeks before posting, and only now because I'm pretty sure this thread's massive volume will allow for obscurity and anonymity.

Anyways, regardless of if anyone sees this, I'd like to say thanks to Digital Blue and Zeke79 for holding together such an awsome forum.
