Okay, I guess I'll take some orders...
Permitting UWSDWF does not kill me, I will try to run a meet.. I have some weekends off...
Only issue is I live 55 mins NORTH of Toronto, and I do NOT have a meeting place...
If anyone can donate or suggest a meeting place, please PM me.
Oh, and I'm thinking beginning-Mid Feb....
PM me if interested...
And I think there should be a age limit, due to legalities... I'm not taking responsiblity for someone I do not know...

Unlisted. I'm glad to see you are interested in having a meeting soon! I do not think you should be worried about the age limit, however. If you have the problem where you are going to have to start enforcing age limits then your meetings are going to be very noteworthy. Also, it is somewhat of a L.I policy not to send away anyone with a solid interest in the lock sporting hobby, even if they are only 15 years old. And there are many lock pickers on the site that are 15 years and younger that have a legitimate interest in the sport.

Yes, I know that, but with my current employer, and what I do for them, well I don't really need to be legally responsible for a minor...
Canada has some funny laws...

What I've done in the past is to allow all ages, but require that those under 18 allow me to speak with their parents first.
And of course, never have any alcohol at an event with minors.

Hello all! I am back again at LP101 after a long break... I have been VERY busy with work up until recently. I recently started a new job at a different lock and security company.
I just PM'd a few people inquiring on the status of a Toronto area group, then I found out that this thread was still active.
I am open to hosting an event or two this spring / summer... .at my trailer... where the beer is cold, the campfire is hot, and the BBQ is always on.
Oh YEAH, and there is a lake to swim in if you work up a sweat trying to pick open too many locks.
There WILL be a minimum age limit at this meet as I CANNOT and WILL NOT be responsible for minors around "open campfires"," open water","lawn mowers", "chainsaws", "small sharp metal objects", and... 'Beer" (Can't help that one, it is a trailer park after all ---Insert Trailer Park Jokes Here---)
Oh yeah - ABSOLUTELY NO DRINKING + DRIVING so you may want to bring a Tent, a sheet of canvass, garbage bag, or...hell a cardboard box.!
Depending on numbers interested.... there are CAMPSITES (with or without power) available.
If there are any other meetings in the area let me know!
Thanks.

So, is this a Bring your own woman/women type of party, or are those provided by the host also?

Hey guys, Been lurking, decided to swing by after a little time away. I'm from the Toronto area and have wheels. So I don't have to go through a few dozen pages/posts, can someone sum up when/where the next few meets are going to be? lazy I know Anyways, have a small kit and a few padlocks I've been tinkering on with a bit of success...but interested in learning more. Looking forward to hearing back and coming out. cheers

So has everyone completely abandoned this idea, I think it would be cool. However I am n00b and not sure how welcomed I might be with no skills...
