it keeps going, and going, and going - you get the idea.
I cant get it apart, because I cant pick the darn thing.
for my reference - when dealing with the plastic POS weiser cylinder, do I use extreme light tension or heavier than usual tension?
second, in general, do weisers turn CW or CCW?
lastly, *sings* "I am so smrt, I am so smrt....S-M-R-t...Imean...uh...S M-A-R T"
heh heh. the weiser keyway is a pain in the aresenal to get your tension tool to sit in without rotating in the keyway (without actually applying tension).
my solution:
jam in ANOTHER tension tool. obviously not with force, but one that 'fits the extra space'. easy solution to annoying problem
I love it when things just...work. now if only I could get this thing picked!!!

now, before someone tells me to search
all I find is viewtopic.php?t=2675&highlight=weiser
and its a little vague. that said, the second option in the link above, doesnt work, becuase none of the pins set CCW, and if I plug-spin the plug CCW, it just stops at zero - and the pins reset.

plot wrote::shock: i would love to help but seeing as you have already answered half of your questions before anyone else has had a chance to reply... you'll probably have the lock parted out, repinned, put back togethor, and repicked before i can dig up any info for you. sure as hell makes our lives alot easier... why doesn't everyone on this board answer there own threads? shame on everyoen else
funny as that is...no. I still cant get it apart. it was 3 days in answering my own first 2 questions
any help is STILL appreciated. the more detail, the better!
thanks again

If it's the standard weiser, do the following:
1. With the lock picked CCW about 10 degrees or so, reach behind the lock with one hand and pull the tail cam out as far as possible.
2. Next rotate the plug to about the 45 degree position.
3. Release the tail cam and push the entire cylinder out. You may have to adjust the plug a bit, but make sure you have the back cam pulled out first.
Hope that helps.
(pics of the back of the lock would help)

thanks for the details, but it wont either a) pick CCW, or b) allow a plug spinner to turn it CCW past 0º.

what about if I grind the pooched keyblank down so its just as high as the wards, so I can use it to turn (CW) 350º - but not allow the driver pins to fall in the keyway...that might do it
if this idea is folly....let me know

no dice - lock only turns between 0 and 170º CW. no ccw, no full rotations. @#$&*#$@
any suggestions will be met with greater thanks than possibly imaginable.
thanks for reading this far at least
