I have adapted the above tool into an electric pick used as a rake tool.
It works beautifully.
i adapted some blades in to rakes and the motion is 13mm at a rate of 51 strokes per 1.5 seconds.
Opens everything
Compared to the hpc black and decker pick it is just as good.
The hpc bounces the pins up and down but with this adaption it is raking the pins which in real terms is the same thing.
The adapted blade i made is a five mountain with rounded points.
I thinned the blade down as much as possible.
Works great and has more power than the hpc. its 6v.
I look at this thing every time I go to wally world,I think of the same you describe .Is it a bit to bulky?Do you make the pick from a jigsaw blade?this could be done for less than half the price of a electric gun and competive to manual pick guns.Im glade this thread is hear,I looked hard at one tonight. All you have to do is convert the blade,or make it to a pick?
