hi, when i was going thru the posts about a month ago, i found a link to a german website, where a guy wrote his own guide and it describes how you take a lock apart and start out with 1 pin, then 2 then 3 ....

it would be really nice, if some of you could give me that link, thank you!

Greetings all.

I just wanted to take the time here to say that we should all really think about what someone is asking for before we just blindly say "search".
In the case here, he has almost nothing to go on. He knows that he saw it, and vaugely what it was about but that is all.

In this case, I think he's hoping someone with a better memory will know what he is refering to. Search engines are funny creatures. Humans can go on vauge notions, and memories. Search engines can't. They need certain key words to providee anything of use.

Certainly if someone asks stuff like, "I'm new, where do I start?" or "What sort of picks should I buy", or similar easy to find information then ceertainly they should betold to search.

In a case like this though, the only thing you are doing is frrustrating the person asking the question. I appreciate that many of us may not know what he is looking for, but someone may and that is the help they require.

So, every one, lets get out of the habit of blindly saying search whenever there is a question. Lets really think about what is being asked for before we suggest that little button.

Good point Romstar.
I wish the world was flat like the old days, and I could travel just by folding the map.

I took the time to search the forums, and I came accross these sites. I don't speak german so I don't know if they are the ones you are looking for:

http://www.bluetear.de/secrets/lockpicking/
http://stud-www.uni-marburg.de/~Klossa/sp.html
http://www.ssdev.org/

All from viewtopic.php?t=2648&highlight=german

I hope what your looking for is in one of those pages, but I don't know.
