New to lockpicking, though I work for a locksmithing service, and just a Car door unlocking tech.
Havent met a car I havent been able to get into with the exception of a Range Rover with a deadlock setup, and im just making the progression to possibly and probably becoming a full-out locksmith. I got referred by another Tech.
Looks like a great community, I still have a ton to learn!

I am really not sure of the standard nature of introduction so accept my apology if I make a mistake.
My name is Waheed and I live in Chicago. I do travel to UK and hold dual Nationality of UK and USA. I want to become a locksmith to do business in both countries. My aim is to save money for UK public and do business with honesty in both countries.
I would like to know everything that I will need to become a locksmith. First I need to get help in getting license in Illinois. therefore I will appreciate if anyone can help me in that process and give me information.
I will go through the posts here and may be I will find my answer but if you know this information, please send me a message.
Thanks
Waheed

Hello,
I'm new to the site and the craft of lock picking. I live in California and love tools, mechanical gadgets and tinkering with them,so it's a match made in heaven. I'm so impressed with the design, and craftsmanship of the tools I've seen and can't wait to start making my own.
I have some experience repinning the locks in my home and changing some cylinders on various tool cabinets. But have basically learned everything up until now through trial an error. I look forward to soaking up some of the considerable knowledge from the other member here.

Hello everybody,
This is quite an interesting board. I've always been fascinated with puzzles and such, and I guess the move to locks is a natural progression. Anyway good to be here.

Hi all,
I'm new to this site as well as to lockpicking. As I'm a german and usually visit the german site http://koksa.org/forumdisplay.php?f=46 (where I found a link to here, thank you, koksa ) you'll not see too much activity from me.
Thank you for the great site, however.

Hello. New to the site from London. Just getting into the art of locksmithing and picking in particular. Just amazed how much there is to it.
Wish I had started when I was a lot younger

Hi,my name's Eddie and i'm from Oklahoma.
Ran across a vid of some 14year old unlocking some padlocks rather impressively on youtube and got interested.
I've not really tried yet,still looking at tools.The one's I made didn't work out so far,lol.
I'm a Ford dealership tech by trade, and figure it could only help if I learned to pick the locks. I can already hotwire em(though it's pointless in most modern PCM controlled vehicles without the key or some carnal knowledge)
Not sure how deep i'll get into it,but i'm a mechanical guy and love a challenge. I'll mostly be a lurker I imagine,I notice alot of good research on here already.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Yo
