Hello everyone,

I'm trying to open a Master No.1 padlock, I've been trying but haven't had any luck. Any tips would be appreciated, even if it means having to call a locksmith :)

Thanks

You really havent given us much useful information. I guess that you simply want the lock gone, not that you are attempting to learn how to pick?

If so, your best bet is either a pair of bolt cutters, a drill, or a locksmith.

If you want it broken it shouldn't be too hard if you just hit it hard enough with a hammer or pry it off with a crowbar.

Your probably using far far too much tension. Just the weight of your finger should be sufficient.

OR if you are putting the right amount of presure then get a pencil and scrape the carbon out of it ona piece of paper and put some of it into the plug
