Firstly apologize for the double post,
but instead of throwing all my toys out my pram and screaming at you-
i take negative criticism and turn them into a positive
I'd get use to new bumpers if i was the forum leader, it hasnt even kicked off yet in the uk- so i very much doudt you have heard the last of the uk bumper.
Why not give it its own section, there are plenty on here interested!
Move with the times,
I'm more interested in bumping mainly at the min because - i will be running my own 24hr lockout service and concider bumpkeys to be the fastest way to manipulate the lock,
Im still into picking locks and locksports.
can we get back to the topic please  move on
all i seem to do is defend myself  stop the bullying

Presumably this 24hr lockout service will only be for those locked out on cylinder locks. If you 'specialise' in just one form of entry then you are gonna need a second income!

You cant realistically offer a 24hr lockout service to the public and expect a modest income unless you can take calls from mortice lockouts etc.

I simply suggest that you become proficient with all methods of gaining entry before unleashing yourself on the general public!

Correct horsefeathers,i have a full time job-im a cab driver- also if i got any lock-out calls i would be able to be there within the hour easy.
so this is my second income besides updating better security locks on customers homes.Hopefully soon i will be able to pick mortice locks, these things take time-especially when i havent got any mortice picks,
tho time is one thing i have on my side being young

Y&I

Postby raimundo » 15 Dec 2007 11:02

Please dont react to this, it is not an attack or bullying. young and immature is not a criticism, its a condition that all of us have once experienced and some of us would like to have it back for the feeling that the world is all new and good. If I think someone is Y&I, it only means that patience on my part is required. I did not say you are Y&I as I have no emperical knowlege, I only report on the impression that was left with me, and if I called on you for anything, that would be to treat us with patience as well.
Wake up and smell the Kafka!!!

Just a reminder that personal attacks are against the rules and WILL NOT be tolerated. The lack of new members that stay tends to make the think that it is not the new members at fault but members here who play the holier than though card. Please keep this in mind before you post, we were all new to the hobby at one time or another. Treat everyone here as you would like to be treated yourself. Being arseholes all of the time will be the demise of this site. The seach function is still broken (I have been on Mr. Picks to fix this so hopefully someday it will happen) so we need to be a bit less apt to tell a user to search before posting right now.

All I ask is that everyone treats each other with respect. Disrespectful posts toward new members is really starting to affect the growth of this site and I will not let this continue to happen. There will be consequenses for ANY member making personal attacks up to and included a ban from this site if pm warnings are ignored. I am thinking a three strike rule in 6 months time is starting to sound pretty darn good right now.

Please think before you post or DO NOT POST AT ALL.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

When I first joined this site I was welcomed. All of my questions were answered with respect. Mabye it's because I used the search function before I asked a question. Zeke and Shrub were very helpful, patiently answering any questions I pm'd them because I was not sure about posting it. I have not seen anyone say "search you noob" in quite awile, likely due to the search being down. I was never attacked when I joined the site and started learning. I have never been warned by PM but I'm sure I have been close a time or two. I agree with Zeke's proposed 3 strikes rule. It seems if the regular members have consequences we may all be a little more welcoming. Of all the members here there is only one that I can say i have a problem with, in the future I will simply avoid interacting with him.
