Where to buy Best Access Systems blanks in bulk?

Anyone know where I can get factory BEST blanks? I know I can get ILCO and JET blanks, but I'm only looking for OEM blanks.

No they aren't. The pictured blank is an Ilco blank from Ilco-Unican days.

I read on another forum that alot of institutional locksmiths are leaving Best behind in favor of other IC core brands. It seems Best is not great about providing parts for their products, instead they offer a discount on new locks.

I think Randy does have some. I use Falcon originals.

Is that why I usually see nothing but aftermarket pin kits and equipment for Best and hardly ever any OEM stuff? In the past few months of my employment at my shop I've only seen one customer bring in a SFIC key with the BEST logo on the bow.

Best has always been an island unto themselves. I am friends with one of the relatives of the founder. He was pretty much disowned for his views of wanting to take the company mainstream with locksmiths. The problem is that the nearest Best dealer is 175 miles away and I have a few customers that can't wait for service. I sell Falcon cores and keys. There's no doubt they have their market share, so you can't say their decision was wrong to exclude locksmiths.

You are at the mercy of their organization, good, bad or indifferent. That's why service usually ends up being an issue. I converted the city and a school to Falcon cores when they rekeyed the last time. There's a new post office not far from here that I put on Keymark with Schlage sfic locks. This friend of mine (whose last name is Best,) tried to convince the founder that at some point, locksmiths and the rest of the lock world would circumvent their exclusive control due to service issues. He was in favor of bring smiths into the loop and making them go through a course and become dealers. He's not an "I told you so" kind of guy, but I think it would have benefited the company in the long run.
