Can I sell Homemade pick's?

Postby Quick Pick » 28 Jun 2004 20:49

I make some real nice homemade picks & I was wondering if I would get arrested for selling them to the public :?: I am 21 years old & live in Buffalo New York.

I don't think that breaks any laws, but if I were you I'd call a lawyer just to make sure.

Overall I agree with mcm, contact a lawyer first.

You probably wouldnt get arrested if u used common sense. By that i mean dont sell the picks to anyone under 18 (unless they have a parent/guardian giving permission). Lol and i doubt you would wanna sell the picks to someone who is a widely known cat burglar and had been arrested like 100 times, cuz then you could possibly be charged as being an accessory to a crime he/she may be caught for.

What i said is pretty much obvious but you'd be surprised at how dumb some people can be, and they wouldnt think too much about it first.

Yeah, I would devinetly have the the person sign a waver saying that you are not responsible for any crime or action that comes from the possetion of the picks. Just to be on the safe side on that same waver I would have them sign that they havn't been conficted of a Felony. If they have been, I wouldn't recommend selling them to that person.

You are REQUIRED to keep a log of everyone that you sell picks to, so get their Name, phone number, address, Drivers license number. They must be 18, and you must have a "Terms of Sale" agreement that must be available for them to read prior to purchase. Having them sign it isn't a bad idea, though. You can find a good example at
