cut open locks?

the cut open locks are so expensive! I am new to the lockpicking thing and i was hoping somebody knew of a cheap one...

You don't need a cutaway at all to learn. If you get a regular deadbolt cylinder and empty it of all but a couple of pin stacks, learn to pick that, then work your way up to all of the pins, you'll be much better off.
With cutaways you'll be tempted to cheat and peek. Picking a lock with just two stacks is just as easy, but you have to learn to do it by feel.

if you get a grinder you can cut your own one
the thing is if you get some old ones and pull them a part you will fine out how the work -- that should help---

I would take a hacksaw and saw through a little less then half the pin stack. then put a piece of glass or plastic infront of it.

that is how i have done it, but when you start learning i dont recommend this, as above i would take the lock apart and move the lock down to 2 pins then up to 3...4...5, then your done and can pick pin tumblers.

by the way *use a deadbolt NOT a door knob lock.* i made this mistake and deadbolts work ten times better.
