Wiper blades because they are easier to find and already shiny...IMO ofcourse.

But (atleast were I live) the bigger ones are harder to come by.
I use plumbing snake and cutlery.

Its all preference. Everyone told me hacksaw blades then I tried them and I hated how flimsy they were.. try both see what you want..

Good luck

Hacksaw Blades

I find these work by far the BEST!

pros

-high speed carbon steel is not flimsy
-easy to grind
-cheap (50-99cents per 12" blade (3 4" picks))
-easy to find
-versital because of thickness

cons

-bends if you are too rough
-have to get paint off and sand
-must grind blades off

also depends on what tools you have

-Dremel/HandFiles = Wiper Inserts
-Dremel/Benchgrinder = Hacksaw Blades

and what type of picks you want

plain hacksaws work as a good handle
wiper inserts you need some other type of handle
wipers best for bogotas and then some
hacksaws for everything but bogotas

Good Luck!
