The New Picks (in progress)

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

fat tip falle curves

I tried the fat tip falle curves, sent them to someone in england I think. the deforest half snowmans are a new design. the snowman is something of a rake, while the deforest tip is definatly thought of as spp. I would take the concavity out of the tip and back slope and you would be able to address a single pin better with the pin being 'adjusted' between the interior angles, (slight movement forward and back would raise and lower the pin if you are hunting the shear line) thats not a criticism, just a design idea.

I appreciate the advice. I am in no way an expert. I will try it out.

Thanks!

You make them like an expert nonetheless.

Nice job

Wow those look amazing! Where did you come up with the idea of the two layer heat shrink! It's genius!

I saw someone else had done s,all rings around the picks with one shrink wrap and then covered the whole thing with heatshrink. I didn't like the way it felt and the rings were hard to get uniform. So I took the idea and cut zigzags to keep it one pice and make it look a little cooler(IMHO). This is pretty much it for this set. I have one more pick left to do and I will start another. I didn't get to finish it tonight before my wife was ready to go and we closed. I am pretty happy with the first go.

Here's a picture of the picks for dougfarre. I still need to do the handles but they are pretty close to being done.

That's brilliant! Those handles look very comfortable to use.

It makes me want to pick up a cheap set of picks, or a few individuals, just to touch up their handles.

I dont understand what you mean "pick of a cheap set of picks, or indivduals"
