help picking a warded lock

I just recently got a set of lock picks for a warded lock on lockpicks.com to try and pick a no. 22 master lock. I just can't seem to be able to pick it. I have watched a video on youtube on how to do it and it seems simple. Just put the pick in all the way and turn. two of my picks just keep turning the lock and it will not unlock. The other two just seem to get stuck at the end turning them either way. If anyone could give me some advice I would appreciate it. Thanks

usually there are 2 levers... put the pick in, rotate pull out and feel for the next lever, turn again

*i think some have 3
*make sure not to touch shackle (unless your pulling)

Some of the commercial picks can go too far into the keyway. Try pulling the keys that spin around out a little until you feel a spring pressure while turning. Try to use the widest pick that will fit into the keyway. The lock may open even if the pick does not go all the way around.

I have tried not going to the end of the lock and turning in different spots but no luck so far. I will keep working on that method, I don't know what else to do. Thanks for the help. Any more would be appreciated

You need to find out where the levers are. If there is only one lever in your like, and if the lever is at the very back of the lock, you can usually but your warded pick all the way in and just twist. I have a (cheap) lock that works this way.

If there are multiple levers, you'll need to pick them separately (see zsoutendijk's post above) or double up two picks atop each other to hit both levers at once. (Actually, I'm not sure that method is recommended, but I've had luck with it.)

Don't know how many levers there are? Don't know where they are? Try this:

Your lock came with two keys, right? Take one of the keys and grind off little bits at a time. Try it in your lock. Does the lock still open? Then there wasn't a lever there. Did it stop opening? You shaved off a piece that was intended to hit the lever.

I don't have commercial picks, but i have a warded pick i made by grinding down a key that works really well in master warded padlocks. i've found that easiest way is inserting the pick with torgue until you reach a spot inside where the pick can turn. continue doing this through the entire depth of the keyway, hitting all of the levers in this manner. sometimes, you'll have to go back and hit each lever a second time or so before the shackle releases
