New Abus keyway

Ref the ABUS new narrow keyways, I made a tension wrench out of a bicycle spoke since all my tension wrenches just got in the way of picking. Worked for me!

Keep working your way through the older threads, you'll find an amazing amount of information here and I'm sure learn a great deal very quickly.

I've found the Abus keyways are no problem if you place your tension wrench in the top of the keyway (euro orientation) making sure it doesn't interfere with the first pin. That leaves enough room to lose a well polished European pick and work the pins

Sure does, light tension is the way as almost always Good lock to practice on.

I own an Abus 65/40 and a 65/45.

Twice I've been able to open the 40 but never got to reproduce the same result, beginners luck the first two times. Feeling the lock I got to feel a hump after the 5th pin with somekind of hole behind that. The hole doesn't seem to contain any moving parts and the hump doesn't also seem to move. Anyone got info on this??

Shaft welcome to LP101.

There's only 5 pins so no need to go further into the keyway than the last pin. Sounds like your trying to pick the back of the keyway
