When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Seriously though, sharpies work fine. If you notice it starting to fade from the heat and friction, just trace back over it, no prob.

Rubber cement is also good, similar to the 3M spray in function. Cleans up nicely, too.
