Postby cred » 4 Jul 2004 12:39

hi guys,
bit confused with the era range of mortice lock i purchaced a lock today the case is gold so i look in my aldridge lock catalouge and the only era lock that has the case colour gold is an endurance, but this lock is not bs(no hard drill plate). so i look at the other era ranges and the ones that are bs and look the same are the model 220 profit and invincible but the cases are RED can anyone shed any light on this

era range

Aldridge do sell Red era invincible and profit they buy so many they can have what colour they like. the old era invincible was red, on the whole era come in the following colours;

ERA Profit and ERA Invinvible

case gold, dimple either side of keyway, h/p, the difference between these 2 locks is that a profit has a smaller 7g keyway.

ERA Endurance

these are no longer made, they have a red case

era viscount

non bs , silver or chocolate brown with dimple either side of keyway.

be aware many large retail outlets have locks sprayed their own colour, you may well get all colours, i get dark green profit and dark green legge 5641 locks, it can get bloody confusing.
