Beginners pick set.....

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I know I could make them but if I fail would it be my technique or the pick??????? That's why I think I should buy my first set, but which one from which LP 101 vendor????? Your assistance and opinions are greatly appreciated.....

Glad you found your own answer. It's always nice when a new member looks around! For the benefit of others I will say we recommend buying a pickset and getting used to the technique and then by all means begin making your own picks. Doing it like this allows you to modify the picks you make to suit you. If there is anything you don't like about your commercial picks you can change it when you make your own.

I actually made my first pick. Ive made a couple and do well with cheaper deadbolts and Mater lock#5. I just ordered a set today hoping they will be thinner than what ive got.
