You can take it apart but, you're going to need a cutting wheel. Get your broken key extractor out and use it to fish out the piece of broken plastic fork.

cut it... Sounds like I should buy a new one... I tried the key extactor and It seems to be wedged behind the last pin...

In the first post you say the key still works...now is this before or after the fork got stuck in it? if the key works after the fork got stuck try to turn the key ass you tap the lock around and try to break or dislodge the piece.

what kind of key extractor do you have? A single cut on it or is it like a saw blade kind with a few cuts in it? I would say try to use a saw tooth style because it has more chances to grab it.

you could also try using a hot needle to melt/cut the piece of fork out of it's deathgrip. The melted plastic wont likely stick to the cold brass. If the lock is already trash otherwise it might be worth trying.

A couple good Ideas... Truthfully I have the cheap-o southford one. A pic of a good one could help... The needle is great idea, I should use My oversized bogatea and heat it up...
This lock was cheap and If I fail I will send it to the first guy who asked...I'm going in!
