warded locks?

I am suprised to find no threads on warded locks, i would think they deserve some recognition, anyway, i have a small metal box that uses a warded lock about 1/2 inch deep, i cannot cut open the box bcause the contents are flammable, anyway, i checked the pick templates and since the lock has a metal rod as a pivot point for the key going all the way down, they will most likely not fit, any ideas, i'll get some pics later
