Need help with kaba lock

Postby kopo » 27 Feb 2008 16:27

Hi.
I have searched this forum for information about kaba locks, but without any luck. I have a kaba key and I want to know what lock picking set is the best for these kind of locks. The reason for why I want to know this is that if I suddenly lock my self out, then I can be able to get in again without having to pay a lot of money to a locksmith ( it is pretty expensive)
This is a picture of the key that fits the lock:

I live in Denmark, so I need a reference to a site that ships to Denmark. I hope someone can help me.

KABA locks ain`t somehing a rookie can pick.

you have to be a really good picker to get that lock opened. Ican`t recomend any tools since i haven't picked one of those myself.

bumping it might be another story though...

if you lock yourself out because you forgot your key inside, how in the world are you going to remember to always have a bump key on you?

you sound very shady.

squelchtone, not to argue with you (just giving kopo benefit of the doubt here) but i have locked my keys in my car numerous times. So about after the 3rd or 4th time, I kept a spare lock key (my car has different keys for the door locks and the ignition) in my wallet. So if I get locked out a lot I would keep an extra key in my wallet.

But you are right, if kopo does get locked out a lot why not carry an extra house key instead of a bump key in their wallet (or purse).

so i guess you have a valid point.

touche`!!

That entirely depends on the type of lock.

The key in the picture belongs to at least a Quattro.

Do you know if there is any lock pick sets for kaba quatro? I saw a site that sold lock pick sets made for kaba locks, but i do not know if they were for quatro locks.
