Pratice Locks

Hi everyone, does anyone know where i can obtain a pratice lock in the UK? Thanks

What I did was I just went to the hardware store and bought the cheapest doorknob I could find. Preferably one that is rekeyable, so you can remove pins if you need to. I live in the U.S. but I can't see why it wouldn't be possible in the U.K. Please correct me if I am mistaken.

Yea, here in the US I know you can buy individual lock cylanders, just locks without the doorknob. You can remove the pins from them and add them back as you become better and better. Its a little bit tedious but it works. If you wanna cough up 120$, you can buy the lock smith school in a box from South Ord. Its 5 premade cylanders each with increasing difficulty and amount of pins for practice.

If you ever get the opportunity to attend auctions, flea markets, or garage sales, keep your eyes out for padlocks, door locks, or cabinet locks. Sometimes you can find old ones in the bottom of boxes or just laying around on a table. You can generally pick them up pretty cheap too if your not fussy about how they look.

Like others have said, go down to your hardware store and buy a few practice locks, any locks.

hey don't forget about padlocks! u can open them and in the whole there is a screw just un screw it and it will fallapart take some pins out(when u get better put them back in) just make shure u don't lose any! CATION:works best on masterlocks i have so many locks i thought it would work on but it didn't thats what i get for being cheap lol

Yeah, make sure you check the package to see if it is a rekeyable padlock. If your not sure, tip the lock upside down so you can have a view of the plug. If you don't see a remotely figure 8 shaped plate covering the keyway, it's not rekeyable.
