Identify the cylinder?

Information about locks themselves. Questions, tips and lock diagram information should be posted here.

Identify the cylinder?

Postby SnowyBoy » 7 Mar 2008 23:52

I've been hunting around on here & google to no avail.....the closest I 'think' I've got is that it is a KABA cylinder, but can't find even a picture of the key that goes in it.

Any info (not with regards to picking it as I suspect it is high security) greatly appreciated :)

Just for the record, as far as i can see/feel it has 4 upper skinny pins (like you can see in the picture) all in a line.

Then the 3rd skinny pin has a fat cone pin on the opposite side which moves up as well as down.

Then off set from the 3rd skinny pin on the upper & lower part of the chanmber is has 2 tiny little ball bearings.

One more thing, Not sure if it's anything worth noting, but if you look at the picture, the right hand side of the cylinder has 4 holes in it which are inline with the 4 skinny pins.

That's as far as I can see in to it :(

Funnily enough this looks exactly like a lock I used to have! not for picking mind, I don't think I would have stood a chance.

You're right though, unless it's something that looks VERY similar then it is a KABA.

Cheers

Really? I was given this one with no keys :(

I'm desperate to get it taken appart and cleaned up, but I need to get to the screw under the shackle.
