Hi, y'all! I'm just breaking into picking myself. My doctor told me I should find something which required small, controlled hand movements, and I thought this was a good way to go. I've always loved seeing how things work (we lost more TVs as a kid that way).

Well another newbii joins the ranks of lp101, glad to be here among fellow lockpick enthusiest. Just really started this hobby about 4 months ago and just having fun (mostly with padlocks and schlage so far). Starting to look into making locks and keys with my engineering friends, but just finding the whole hobby of lock and keys fastenating. Found master lock #3 and #5s a breeze, working on a number #21, and its been kicking my ass for the whole 4 months now, any advice would be appreciated.

I HAVE LOST BOTH KEYS TO MY FRONT DOOR!!DUH! ITS A MULTILOCK TYPE AND I NEED SOME HELP ON HOW I GO ABOUT EITHER REMOVING THE BARREL OR PICKING THE LOCK. THE ONLY TROUBLE IS THE DOOR IS LOCKED AND I CANT GAIN ACCESS TO THE SIDE OF THE DOOR. THE LOCK HAS "UAP" STAMPED ON IT AND IS IN A UPVC DOOR FRAME, THINK ITS EUROPEAN. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP!!!! Ok, here's what you do: get a phone book or call directory assistance. Get the phone number for a good locksmith. What I mean by this is an actual, local locksmith. I would avoid calling one of the national phone numbers for a lockout service. Once you get the locksmith on the phone, describe to him your problem. Give him your address. Wait for him to show up. Watch him fix the problem. Pay him. Go inside and go about your day. I hope this helps.

I'm afraid I'm unable to give you directions to correct the problem on your own. We don't discuss high security locks outside of the Advanced Forums, and as a novice you wouldn't be able to pick a Multilock anyway. As this is also primarily a hobbyist site, we also only pick locks which belong to us, and which are not currently in use.

If your question was legitimate, I apologize for being a smart alec. We tend to get suspicious when someone's first post is essentially asking how to break into something.

My advice in calling a local locksmith was sincere. You will frequently get a higher level of customer service than with a national lockout service.

I'd chat longer, but I have to run now. I'm off to go get a life!
