That must be an unusual storage box... not seen an internal door lock on a box before. Any pics of it?

+1...

I LOVE looking through new members posts, that way you can more readily figure out what they are most likely trying to do.. Looks like a door on a building for this member...

If not, I will stand corrected when they post pics of the actual locks in question, for all the threads they are asking about.

Plus I LOVE the spam from this user... (thats now in the trash) :?

Post a picture of yourself holding this box, with your ID clearly visible, by the way, I do not need a new Iphone so please stop spamming us.

I agree, it must be an "interesting" box, with a Yale mortise lock on it, pretty big and heavy! It's the last lock in the world I'd use for any type of box.

Anyway, the three lever Yale is not hard to open, it's easy, but you would need some practice.
There are plenty of tutorials on lever locks, and tools required on this site.
You would really need to have one in your hand to have a look see, and to practice on, then you should be good to go :-)

It's not a quick fix, you got some work ahead!
May be a lot quicker and cheaper in the long run to get a locksmith, guy would be in and out, job done, while you would be still thinking about it!!!
Proudly posted on a FreeBSD powered laptop :-)

LOL. Ok, sometimes you just gotta know enough to know that you don't know and move on. :P

I'd also like to see pics of this storage box with a mortise lock on it. You can skip the ID, but a pic of the box itself would probably set a lot of our minds at ease.

db

P.S. So far in your 5 posts you've made on this site, two of them were blatant spam and 2 of them were suspicious to say the least. So... I'd say if you want to enjoy your time here, you've got a bit of a hole to dig yourself out of to start.

AAWW DB, I was looking forward to the ID part. :) You are right, it may have been one toke over the line.

Someone who posts useless sh!t on the forums, it could be commerical sales of unrelated items, or even worse- porn.

Generally, when a site admin or a moderator says "more information is needed before picking advice is given" you should not offer advice UNTIL the further information is posted.

To be fair there is a whole stickied guide that deals with these locks, that I personally wrote. :?

Yes, but how many new members actually take the time to look before asking.
