What is this sound?

So I hope i didn't miss the thread, but since this is a question I think it's okay to post here. My question is, what could this sound be-does any lock or something similar sound like this? It probably has something to do with closing/opening but it could really be any household item. I think it might be locking a safe, but I'm not sure, so if anyone knows it would be great! :D

The sound:

Is this for a contest or something? I'm not going to download that, I'm sceptic of it's contents.

Well... although this is probably a bad idea, since I'm on a Mac and, therefor, have a heightened and arrogant sense of invincibility to anything malicious, I was going to download it just to see.

But heck if I can figure out how. I go to the link. I see that there is a file there (I think it was called Free Sample.mp3 or something like that), but I haven't a hot clue how to download it... unless the site requires me to sign up in order to get it, in which case.... I have several warm, dark places you might want to lodge that site. 8)

Filename: Free Sample.mp3
Filesize: 24.49 KB

It's obviously something unsavoury, I'm pretty sure it's safe to delete this thread xP

I talked to the user through PM. He assured me the thread was legit so I moved it back and replaced the link. As for the download you are on your own, I'm not trying it.

LOL I just noticed his SN after reading DigitalBlues post. Ironic that the only thing that saved him was the ignorance on how to download to help this guy crash his Mac.

DB as a warning I have heard from a friend in the comp biz that there are a bunch of Mac viruses surfacing recently. Most are being fixed rather quickly but it is getting to be a popular enough of a computer system to worry about now. It used to be fun and games (Virus name "Postal" cause a gun shot to sound and a bullet hole to appear in place of whatever icon you clicked on while the entire file is sent to the trash bin... come on, that is funny) to the spamming crap we have now that include kill programs if you don't buy their product. Hate em all.

My brother-in-law works in the field and he had a ton of "broken" viruses from the fun old days that were neat to see in action. :P

So what is the consensus here? If nobody is going to download this and theres no point in in just posting that you won't.... Lock? I've dealt with this thread enough today, it's on to someone else now to decide.

Ya know....

I don't really care one way or another. But given that I was unable to even TRY and download the file, I'm just gonna lock 'r up.

The OP can PM me if he likes, but I fail to see the relevance of this anyway so... whatevs. :)
