Mutzy's Lock Collection (Links Only)

Postby Mutzy » 3 Apr 2008 20:59

To unashamedly celebrate my return to LP101, I thought I'd show a few pictures of my collection of locks. Working for a locky has it's upsides... locks that I replace that would *normally* go into the bin goes into my private stash. :D

There's a stack of padlocks, some with, some without keys, locks that were in dodgy packaging (which work fine, but never got sold), a stack of 'euro' or 'profile' cylinders from various lock designs, the odd high-security cylinder (cookie for the first person to notice something there), some safe stuff, an oval cylinder cutaway that i'm quite proud of, and a decommissioned lock mount that I use for installing and picking practice locks. I can pick roughly 65-70% of all these ones here, and a good percentage of the high security ones have tight keyways and security pins.

Oh, and by the way, the blue toolbox was chockas full with locks, and the briefcase behind it is filled half/half with more locks and computer CD's...

Winner!

Technically, yes i did pick it. I wanted to test the feel of the cylinder when picking it, so i put in all 1through4 master pins.

For the uninitiated, Bilock has 4 depths, and master pins for every possible depth, including one that allows for all four key cuts. Think of it as a normal cylinder keyed to take every possible key that fits in. :D It was more for fun, than bragging rights. ;)

A-ha! But I noticed that the plug had been rotated 90 degrees and had therefore been picked, so I lay claim to all cookies! Buahahahahaaa!

Unless it's peanut butter. I don't really care for peanut butter cookies.
