Want to pick locks with the 31337 hax0rs (OMG) of 303, or just let El Jefe (of Phone Losers of America fame) drink you under the table? Then read on:

We held our first locksport meeting last night, and a total of 14 people showed up. 1 of those just drank (because Jefe sucks at locks), and the other 12 picked locks. EDIT: I mean the other 13, of course. Good thing I have this handy math degree.

Meetings are going to be regular, occurring on the second Tuesday of each month at 8pm at DenHac, Denver's first hackerspace: 975 E. 58th Avenue, Unit N, Denver, CO 80216.

I-25 to 58th Ave (exit 215)

58th Ave east to Ogden, just over half a mile.

You'll cross Washington, pass Subway on the right, and Ogden will be the
first left past two single family homes. It is not well marked, nor well
lit. If you get to Downing, the next 4-way intersection, turn around and
try again.

As you drive a few hundred feet up the "street" you'll see buildings and
parking. Take the first right, then left to the space. (DenHac logo) will be on the
left, marked on the door, with some giant grain silo laying on it's side
right out front.

We will attempt to always have a wide variety of locks and picks to play with if you don't have your own, as well as other goodies. Due to my work schedule I will rarely, if ever, be there in person.

Well, the last Thursday of every month would put it at Thursday, May 29 (EDIT: SEE BELOW).

The last (4/24) meeting had fewer people than the first one, but we gained a real locksmith.

Oh man, I completely forgot to post here. Please note that we've changed over to the FIRST Thursday of each month and that tonight's meeting has been pushed to next week as a result. We've also bumped it to 9pm since only two of us were ever there by 8. I hope this hasn't screwed up anyone's schedule.

On the other hand, anyone showing up tonight asking about the lock meeting will see most of us there (not me) by 9 if they stick around anyway, so it's not a total loss...

Next meeting this Thursday at the usual place. We are considering changing the usual place to somewhere else but for this month we're staying at Netherworld. I'll post here if we ever come to an agreement on where we want to spend Thursdays.

This month's meeting is scheduled for tonight, but I'm not going to be there and I don't know where people are going to be...but they'll probably decide on something other than Pub on Penn. If you've never been to Denver locksport, I wouldn't make my first time tonight...but if you insist, you can try PoP on 13th & Pennsylvania at around 9pm.

I may be changing this to "Colorado locksport" and meeting farther north, like Broomfield, somewhere where there's no under-21 curfew. We should know by October's meeting.
