anyone use strikemaster 2?

Since i am on a kick to try and secure my home better, i found a product on the internet called Strikemaster II. Its a 5' steel reinforcement bar that is installed into the door jam. Which supposedly helps prevent kick ins.

It looks like something that may work well, but I wanted to see if anyone had any experience with it? Also anyone know if you can install it over a flush strike reinforcer?

It's a great product and easy to install, definately a good investment.

Yes, I have it installed in my home in addition to many other security enhancements. You will also require a sturdy door and hinges to match the strength of your new steel strike plate.

Thanks, the door is solid and sturdy (steel with solid wood core). What type of upgraded hinges would I need?

Just make sure the hinges they are solid, good quality and you use 3"+ screws. You mostly want to avoid cheap chinese made hardware.
