Preemus like Toyota Preeus or prymus like prior ?

All the Schlage sales reps that I know have also said Pry-mus. Only customers who also pronounce schlage 'sh-la-G-ee' say it 'pree-mus'.

The Toyota Prius is apparently the ecoliberals' dream car. They're everywhere and the existence of the proper noun Prius that's pronounced Pree-us might have influenced how we say Pri*.

this reminds me of my boss who says war-ez sites instead of wherez sites. he pronounces it like "war ez (ez as in ezra)" and he says it in 2 syllables. war-ez the word comes from softwares but with the hacker z replacing the s it's just soft-warez or warez for short, not war-ez. warez, one syllable pronounced just like where's
