Wonderful templates mate. For newbies, use templates as suggestions, not absolute truths. Try and keep the general sizes about the same though, as you will find them most useful when approximately the size given.

sorry, I forgot about the search problems  . Most people here use hacksaw blades. Some use windsheild wiper backing strips or street cleaner bristles but I myself find them to narrow for my fat fingers to grip.

Yes you can use the flat snake material that pick maker uses. I have an array of pick templates on my ftp site available for download. The photos are taken along side a scale so you can adjust the size on your printer until the inch marks on the scale in the photo match the inch marks on your measuring device. You can then cut the pick shape out and paste it to your hacksaw blade and spray paint(use a color that contrasts the color of the saw blade you are using) the whole thing lightly. Then remove the paper you pasted on revealing and outline of the pick. I have Southord slim line picks, hpc regal picks, lab picks, peterson picks, and brockhage navigator picks loaded right now. I will be adding some more as soon as they arrive at my door and I get pictures taken. my ftp site is ftp://lockpicking:101@nickz.homeftp.net .

all of the brick strap banding material I have seen is to thin to make a pick. As far as slim jims go I have no templates or any idea of how to make one.
