its a 5 wafer trailer coupler lock, it is used to lock the tounge of the trail shut so you cant lift it off the truck its on, or be able to put it in a truck.

You should have NO problem picking that lock :)

trailerlock

I have a Master brand trailer hitch lock that is put on a trailer to keep other trailer hitches off. this has a ball that fits in the hitch, its massive and heavy, and it has a wafer lock that is a joke. Some other trailer locks that simply have a bar bent on the end as a shackle, also have these super pickable locks.

These are examples of people in the security manufacturing business deliberately selling security through obscurity.

The wafer locks on trailers are incredibly easy to pick and you could do it with hairpins.

Picking it once - probably easy, opening it - harder since it looks like you have to pick it a few times.

Looks that way, it should relock every turn without the key to keep the wafers aligned.
