Bump keys!

Hi guys,

Were could i buy bump keys? well. Not me.

me and my dad order picks and stuff together from http://www.lockpicks.com

i really wanna try out bumping. But they say they want proof that you are a locksmith and you have to call to order.

there are no lock smithing related laws in oregon? is there someplace else i could get bumpkeys from? that you guys have used?

I think someone around here was digging around, trying to find places that were cheaper than ukbumpkeys. I'm not sure of the sites though. Someone else probably has more info though.

Josh bumping gets boring VERY quickly but i guess we all have to try it once to order one or make one, they are easy to make if you dont rush things.

So go to Home Depot and buy a master padlock and file one of the included keys to deepest. That will get you a key good enough to practice bumping. After you do it a few times, it gets boring anyways.

Bumping is expensive. After a good days worth of bumping you'll totally wear out the key and ruin your practice lock.

You can always get them on Ebay. Ebay doesn't allow pick tools, but people sell bump keys under the alias "depth keys" all the time. Just make sure you aren't actually buying a real set of depth keys, because then only 1 of the 10 keys you bought will actually bump a lock.

Make sure if you buy a set on ebay to make copies of the bumpkey you are going to use a lot, they wear out fast.

You still need a license to buy a handgun, that is federally mandated. It's easy to get though. Go to your local police station, answer no to every question, and they do a background check through the FBI computer.
